Projects

This is a personl project I created to upload tribal traditional stories. It is a passion project of mine to help save native culture. You can view stories on a map tied to specific geo-locations, and also add stories to specific geo-locations by clicking on the map and then clicking "add story". Click on the picture and check out my web application!

This was one of the coolest projects I was ever asked to do. I was reached out to from a non-profit called Morning Star Conservancy whose goal is To Protect, Preserve And Restore The Native Habitat And Biodiversity Of The Lophophora Williamsii (Peyote Plants) Populations Of South Texas. They asked me to reduce their cost they were paying for their website and make it better because they didn't feel they had any creative freedom with square space. In the end I saved them hundreds of dollars every year and they were very happy with the custom work I did for them.

Native Dads Network is a non-profit that is about healing families and breaking cycles of generational trauma. I was very excited when they reached out to me and requested a website because I believe in their mission. Click on the image to check out the work I put into their website.

About

My name is Isaac Hollow Horn Bear. I am Sicangu Lakota, originally from South Dakota, currently living in Sacramento, CA. I enjoy the challenge of adapting to the ever changing field of technology and finding unique and simple solutions. I am self motivated and willing to do whatever it takes to get the task at hand done. I love learning new skills and adding them to my tool bag.

Outside of coding, I enjoy meeting up with my friends at my favorite coffee shop, indulging in my slight caffeine addiction. On a Saturday you can usually find me in a video game with my seven-year-old son who, already being way better than I am, carries us to victory. I am also actively involved in Lakota Ceremony. I have found a much deeper sense of self through my Lakota heritage and culture, and I sincerely believe it's what has led to where I am today.
